StopDev, LLC made its’ debut in August 2008. We were two guys who developed websites in an attempt to earn a little extra cash. After meeting we discovered that each of us had unique capabilities. We joined forces and began to plan how we could turn our hobby into a serious venture.
Along the way we have encountered the typical bumps and bruises like most start-ups. Our biggest struggle was trying to differentiate ourselves from the army of web developers that currently prowl the web waiting to devour their next victim, you the client. After several failed attempts we sat down and did what we should have done at the beginning. We discussed our strengths/weaknesses, evaluated what we believe works on the web and what does not, and then planned. It became clear to us the direction we wanted to go. What is the direction? Our direction is two-fold:
- Close the gap between the web developer and client
- Help businesses establish and implement a plan that produces success
The web is flooded with millions of websites, most of which do nothing but take up real estate. Their purpose is unclear and they are not providing any valuable benefit. Why? It’s simple. The client and developer did not communicate and plan an outcome. The developer simply designed a website and left the client with no direction on how to make their website a success. That’s where we come in.
Our tips will hopefully provide you with direction, insight, and ideas on how to not only have a web presence, but a profitable and successful web presence.
